Dec2011 will be my first year growing Kelsea from seeds which I paid £1.35 for 30 for from Ebay, Looking to plant in December in seed trays at my work office as guarentee’d no frost in there.
Any other tips most welcome.

2011 will be my first year at growing large onions after doing a bit of reasearch and following advice from experienced growers,initial soil sterilization is a necessity however some growers are now using additives with correct soil composition and nutrition in bed preparation prior to final planting,so as to avoid use of chemicals.
I am also told that temps above say 20C may infact be harmful to achive successful growth,this must also be coupled with good ventilation practise.Hope some of this helps

your onions are looking well, mine are still in between your may 3rd and 8th stage, but it’s my first year growing them from seed so I’m happy already Hope you keep giving us follow-ups on the onions
